Yes, there are some foods which cause cancer and this fact has been proved by a research done by the International Agency for research on cancer and this agency is a part of WHO.

The cancer agency further stated that red meat, in general, may cause cancers such as colon, pancreatic and prostate cancer. Red meat includes beef, pork, lamb and goat.

The above findings do mean that the agency is not asking anyone who eats processed meat to stop eating but it suggests that consumption of processed meat should be reduced which will reduce the risk of different of cancers.

Hot Dogs: If you eat 50 grams of processed meat on daily basis then you are at risk of having cancer and this percentage is about 18% and that is equivalent of about 4 strips of bacon or one hot dog.

Sausage


This is another kind of processed meat and by just eating one and a half sausage on a day could increase your risk of cancer by up 18%.

Ham


One more type of processed meat which is being consumed by people on a daily basis and it is linked to high blood pressure with other cardiovascular diseases.

Beef


Beef jerky may also cancer by increasing the risk because it contains a high amount of sodium nitrate, a carcinogen that gives beef jerky its appealing color.

Red meat



Eating red meat is very good for eating and it is a major source of iron, zinc and vitamin B12, consuming 100g of red meat a day could increase the risk of cancer by 17%.
