A Dalit man forced to drink Urine in Uttar Pradesh

Even after such long period of getting Independence India is still a country where the caste system is not ready to go away. The Indian mindset is still not changed and people are still stuck in the feudal system.
In Badaun district of Uttar Pradesh, a shocking incident has occurred where a Dalit man was forced to drink urine and this reminds us that still our society is not much developed.
Four people harassed a Dalit man because he refused to work on their fields.
In this case, a station house officer of Hazratpur police station has been suspended for negligence of duty.
The victim has been identified as Sitaram Valmiki, told that some influential people in his village abused and beat him just because he did not want to work in their fields and went to collect fodder.
When those influential people saw him collecting fodder in the fields they thrashed and dragged him to the village where they tied him to a Neem tree to set an example. They did not stop here and pulled his mustache and made him drink urine.
A case has been registered against those four influential people who dragged and made him drink urine under Sections 308, 342, 332, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code. Relevant sections of the SC/ST Act.
