The Mahindra TUV 300 was
launched last year in 2015 and it has proved to be an bestseller for the
company from the beginning of its sales. Now, there are reports about its
engine and if it is true then its a great news because Mahindra and Mahindra
company is now looking to equip this car with more powerful engine, which is
also used in its new car Nuvosport.
The price of the car is also
reasonable because it starts from 6.9 lakh in the ex-showroom
It is loaded with 1.5 litres
diesel engine which is also known as mHawkk80, which produces power of 84 HP
with maximum torque of 230 Nm. It has five gears with manual gearbox and an AMT
unit.
Now if the company will use
the same engine which used in the Nuvosport and it will definitely make it more
powerful with peak torque of 240Nm and peak power o 102 HP. But the gear transmission
will remain manual.
For cost part it will
definitely increase and the company is still not thinking to discontinue the
current mill.
It is also expected the
price of Nuvosport and new TUV500 will be almost same.
The company has still not
finalized the date of re-introducing this new TUV300 but we can expect that the
new improved TUV 300 will be launched in next few months.
