Rajnath Singh said Pakistan trying to disturb peace in the valley

Home Minister Rajnath Singh has told the parliament on Thursday that there were continuous attempts by the terrorists from Pakistan to destabilise peace in the valley but on the same hand the Modi Government is determined to deal firmly with terrorist activist and ensure safety for citizens and security forces.

He made a Suo Motu statement in both houses on Wednesday’s terror attack in Udhampur and said that the interrogation of the terrorist captured alive after the encounter is expected to reveal modus operandi.

He said “We strongly condemn the attack and continuous attempts by terrorists from across the border to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere in Jammu and Kashmir.”

He read the statement in the Lok Sabha in absence of Congress and other protesting parties but this time the opposition agreed to hear the minister’s statement on the attack in silence in the Rajya Sabha, where opposition leaders, Ghulam Nabi Azad called it a matter of concern for the whole country.

Ghulam said that that whenever the house is in order they would like a full-fledged discussion on the issue. Presently there should be no discussion and question on his statement. He also said that out of five infiltration attempts in a month, four were foiled and eight terrorist were neutralized.

Whereas Home Minister stressed that the Government is committed to combat terrorism with strong resolve and ensuring the safety and security of citizens of the country and security personnel. He even applauded the courage of those villagers who caught the terrorist and said that despite of having risk of their lives overpowered a fully armed militant without considering their own security.

Recently the terrorist was caught by the villagers who did even any weapon with them and al the news channels have highlighted the same news as it is an achievement that a civilian was able to catch the terrorist without fearing his own life.
