North East men beaten after he sought an apology for spitting on him



New Delhi: A twenty seven year previous North East student to from Manipur was maltreated when he wanted an apology from a person who spat him. He additionally created some racist comments and abused the coed.

This incident happened on the unfortunate Sunday night for the men in Burari area of capital.

The police caught three men in this connection and have registered a case against them under various sections of Indian Penal Code for a case of attempt to commit culpable homicide, prompting enmity between different groups of religion, race, place, residence and language.

The victim is Brilliant Horam who was going from a Bengalo Colony in Burari, when the accused Vinod Kumar accidentally spat on Horam after gargling and rinsing his mouth after that Horam shouted and asked him to apologize which enraged Vinod, who came out of his house calling names.

Later they had an heated argument which later turn into scuffle and enraged Vinod hit Horam on his head with a blunt object and starting beating him until he became unconscious on the ground. Vinod managed to run away from the spot and local people found Horam lying on the ground unconscious and called the police which took him to the All India Medical Research Institue trauma center. The police have told that he was discharged from the hospital on Sunday afternoon.

The police officer has said that they have recorded Horam’s Statement and further probing the matter. He has alleged that when he was passing by Vinod spat him and also abused him when he told him to say sorry. He further told that he asked from Vinod to behave himself which pinched him and he came out and hit him.
A police team comprising of several senior police officers formed a team to nab Vinod who was finally caught with the help of local intelligence and technical surveillance support.
