Hyderabad: The State Government has instructed GHMC chief and other town planning officials to stop giving permissions for the construction of new buildings. And if someone wants the permission he would have to approach the Municipal Administration and Urban development department. GHMC has told that the Government is framing new guidelines for construction of tall buildings and also planning to regularize unauthorized constructions in the City and it is the demand that before launching new guidelines everything has to be stalled for the time being. There are many people who are affected by this ban of the State Government as many of them are battling with the GHMC for building permissions since 2008. Last year nearly 47778 applications were submitted for the new constructions and there are about 1268 files which are still pending, 5603 rejected and 2554 returned. Bathinda: On Tuesday An Assistant Superintendent from Sangrur jail killed a person who was a tavern manager near Bhathinda Bus stand. This incident took place when a 50 year old Assistant Superintendent Bohar Singh asked for more liquor and when the tavern manager asked for the money he open fired on him and killed him on the spot. The people who are working in the tavern have told that Bohar Singh used to visit the place regularly and on Tuesday also he came to that place for a drink and was denied for more drink without money he got angry and shot the manager with his service revolver and after that he tried to run away from the spot but he was caught by the nearby tavern workers and policeman on duty. Deputy Superintendent of Sangrur jail said that he asked for one day leave on Monday evening to visit Bhathinda, he was posted in Sangrur jail for last eight months.
