State Government ordered GHMC to ban permit for new construction of the buildings

Hyderabad: The State Government has instructed GHMC chief and other town planning officials to stop giving permissions for the construction of new buildings. And if someone wants the permission he would have to approach the Municipal Administration and Urban development department.

GHMC has told that the Government is framing new guidelines for construction of tall buildings and also planning to regularize unauthorized constructions in the City and it is the demand that before launching new guidelines everything has to be stalled for the time being.

There are many people who are affected by this ban of the State Government as many of them are battling with the GHMC for building permissions since 2008. Last year nearly 47778 applications were submitted for the new constructions and there are about 1268 files which are still pending, 5603 rejected and 2554 returned.

It is a tedious task to approach GHMC for the permission which takes lot of time and now this order of the State Government has shattered all hopes of constructing the buildings. GHMC is not accepting any applications and people are complaining against it and alleging that there are applications pending for more than a tear and nothing is being done on them.
