Bhubaneswar:
On Monday police have arrested two teachers of tribal Welfare School in
Odisha after a 6th class student was found delivered a baby in a
hostel.
Police
arrested the Headmaster and superintendent of the school for not doing their
duty effectively and negligence. They did not even informed the administration
about the incident and instead tied to hide the matter and.
She is a
tribal girl from Umuri Asharam School and used to study in State run school for
Scheduled tribes and Scheduled caste students in Jeypore block of Koratput
district which is nearly 500 km from Bhubaneswar. She delivered a baby in 4th
February.
When the
school authorities found about the matter that a minor girl has delivered a
baby in the school premises they took baby and minor mother in the jeep to her
village in Upperkendi and left her at home with her parents.
District
administration got the information about the matter and then the extension officer
if Jeypore block communicated the information about the matter to Jeypore
police station after that the police arrested the Headmaster Kailash Verma and
Superintendent of the hostel Sabit Guru.
