WhatsApp tries to constantly push the updates for its platform. But this time the Company has told not to update the latest 2.19.66 version as there is a bug in this update which will delete all media files on your device.
Maybe the Company has taken this decision after some customer posted their complaint about this Bug on Twitter.
The Company has told that they are trying to fix the Bug in the latest update and prompted not to install the update.
After installing the latest updates some users experienced that were unable to send text messages or make calls through WhatsApp and not just this many users also complained that they could not see the media files in the App as well as in the Gallery which means the Bug has deleted the media files even on the Android device on which latest updates were installed for WhatsApp.
Some users also complained that WhatsApp status feature where the display photo of the contact is displayed is seen as grey when opened in the status window.
So it is advised not to install the latest 2.19.66 and 2.19.67 updates until the WhatsApp Company releases the further update.
