India asks Pakistan to handover mortal remains of Kirpal Singh

On Monday Pakistan has reverted to India that Kirpal Singh died in the Pakistani jail died because of heart attack n Lahore two days back after the issue of his mysterious death was raised by the Indian Government and asked the Pakistani authorities to revert on the matter.

The Indian Government is still waiting to get the complete details of the case from the Pakistani authorities.

India's acting commissioner, JP Singh met director general in Pakistan foreign ministry in Islamabad after getting instructions from Indian Government in connection to the death of Kirpal Singh who was in the Lahore jail for about 25 years in connection with a serial blats case there.

Indian Government has also asked Pakistan to handover the mortal remains of Kirpal Singh ASAP.
He was 50 years od and was jailed by the Pakistani court for almost 25 years on charges of spying and relation to the serial blasts that took place over there. He allegedly crossed the border of India and Pakistan through wagah border in 1992 and was thus arrested.

Later the Pakistani court ordered a death sentence in a serial blasts case which took place in Punjab province.

Kirpal hails from Gurdaspur in Punjab and his sister, Jagir Kaur told that the family could not raise voice for his release because of financial problems and they did not have any political supporting to plead their case.

The Indian Government came into action after this matter was highlighted by the News channels and other media sources and immediately asked the envoy of India to seek a meeting with the Pakistan foreign office in connection with Kirpal's death case who died under mysterious conditions and also asked for immediate transfer of his mortal remains.
