Female Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut recently told that she
was called interfering bitch when she tried to give her inputs for her movie in
which she was in a lead role.
This differential treatment is not done for the first time in
Bollywood industry towards the female actors and Kangna has got the courage to
raise this issue of how she was looked down upon while giving her inputs. She
was also called irritating bitch who was shooed away and never welcomed to give
her valuable inputs whereas as claimed by her male superstars in the same film
would dole out tips with great abandon.
She claimed that being an actress she started contributing
to her films by writing dialogues and screenplays and thought that people would
find her useful but unfortunately she was shooed away by them and never
welcomed for her efforts. She further claimed that she is better than many
actors and was shocked to see that it was seen something which is not accepted
no matter how much they were getting benefits from her inputs.
She further told that when she want to contribute to a film
because of her title role in it her contribution was always seen as interfering
but when a male superstar provides his inputs he is always welcomed by them.
She told this piece of information when she was attending a
Women in Films session at the MAMI film festival in Mumbai on 3rd
November.
She defended herself by saying that she wanted to give her
inputs because as a creative person she finds it inspirational and wants to do
the same thing and achieve same status in society. She also thinks that being
an actress the attitude is just the same. According to her people think nice
women are the silent ones and smart is the one who thinks what is good for her.
