This strange case is from sonepat district in haryana where his family members were sitting with his body on a road near their village which is only 50 km away from the capital.
The boy has been identified as Govind who was found hanging near to his house. His family has alleged that some local people charged him with the theft of a pigeon and then brutally beaten by and also claimed that he was beaten badly because be was dalit.
Whereas the police has claimed that he ran away from his house and committed suicide but the exact reason of his death would be out only after the postmortem report is out. Meanwhile the post mortem report has confirmed that the body was having injuries.
Now the dalit family is asking for a compensation of ten lakh rupees from the government along with action against two police officers who have been charged with beating the boy.
On Wednesday the police allegedly took boy and destined him and when boy's mother went to get him the police officers asked for bribe from her for letting him go with her after this she came back with money them told her that he had escaped form the police station.
Brother of deceased said that if he escaped from the police custody then why is the point of having police in the police station which is a valid question.
This is not the first case of discrimination of dalits and political parties are trying to make their points on this issue like mayawati has recently commented that in haryana dalits are being discriminated but it is not the case and the government cannot be blamed for such instances and should not affect their performance as the the government is not asking the people to behave like this it van only ask or pass the guidelines to the police or my other force not to behave in this manner.
People should support the authorities and government to take action in these types of cases.
