Student killed over a Metro seat


On Wednesday a 16 year old teenager was stabbed by a group of students on Wednesday afternoon because of small fight on metro seat.

According to an eyewitness when he stepped inside the metro he saw that the victim was on his way to his home and was accompanied by his two friends.

The victim has been identified as Ishu who is a student of eleventh class in school situated in cashmere Gate. His friends have told to the police that they had left the school around 12:30pm and went to the Metro station to board the train and when they reached Kingsway camp metro station area, they were stopped by three boys who were also student of another Government School.

First they abused Ishu and also pushed him so hard that he fell to the ground and when his friends tried to save him from the attack they threatened them with dire consequences and again started kicking Ishu in his abdomen. Later they dragged him near a drain meanwhile he was trying to resist but one of the boys took out knife and stabbed him.

According to locals they kept stabbing him until he collapsed and then the attackers managed to ran away towards Timarpur.

Immediately his friends raised an alarm and called up Ishu’s parents. They rushed him to Bara Hindu Rao hospital where he was admitted to the intensive care unit. The police was also informed about the attack.

The police officers have told that the Timarpur police station was informed and within hours the police team reached the crime spot.

Ishu’s condition is still serious and currently he is not fit to give any statements. However his friends have told to the police that few days ago Ishu had an argument in the Metro over a seat with three boys and at that time they threatened him to kill then.

The police have registered a case under section 307 of the Indian Penal Code at the police station.
