Bangalore: The Karnataka High Court
has asked from the Government on Thursday to provide the details about the
action taken by the Government to find out the missing children in the State. A
bench comprising of Chief Justice DH Waghela also asked the Government to submit
the data of last ten years regarding the missing number of children as well as
children who were found back. The bench wanted to know that whether there is
any special task force team has been set up to find 782 children.
The bench expressed that a personnel
touch and sense of responsibility is required in these case said that the
accused get bail and the children are kept under custody in such cases. The
bench also sought the information form the Government about the details of the
cases where trial is still pending.
Earlier the advocate of the
Government informed the court that the Supreme Court has already seized the
issue in its statement between January to October 2014 2,523 children went
missing and 1,741 were traced and returned to their parents.
