Turkish boy released by the Court for Insulting the Turkey President



Ankara: A Turkish teenager has been released from custody after he was arrested for insulting Turkish president Recep Tayuip Erdogan and it caused uproar in the Turkey.

He is 16 year old boy who was arrested by the police from his school on Wednesday and was kept in the jail for making insulting speech against the president. In his speech he said that president is "thieving owner of the illegal palace.'' He also spoke about the Government scandal and controversial 1150 room palace which the president Erdogan inaugurated in October.

There were nearly dozens of lawyers who petitioned for his case and finally the Court agreed to release the boy from police custody. But he still faces up to 4 years in prison if convicted on the charges.
