Vehicles older than 15 years will banned in Delhi



The NGT in Delhi has ordered to ban the Diesel and petrol vehicles which are older than 15 years. The decision was taken in to curb the increasing air pollution in the City. There are several other orders which the court has passed which will help to lower down the Delhi’s air pollution as it with each passing the air pollution is getting worse. Over loaded truck will also not be allowed to enter City area.

The order was given by the court in reply to the PIL filed early this year regarding the measure for Air pollution. Other orders like burning of waste material and plastic will be banned and RTO is also asked by the court to tow away the older vehicles which are parked in the public area and to be challaned by the RTO.

Court also said that anybody can complain to the tribune, Police, DPCC if they found the violations of these rules and have also asked from DPCC to launch a website where they can complain and upload images of such violations.

Nowadays even mornings are also not safe for the morning walkers as the air pollutions is still high in the early hours. Court said that parking should be allowed on one side of the roads by taking the example of Lajpat Nagar in South Delhi that it takes nearly 40 minutes for a motorist to reach inside from the main road due to the congestion. DPCC is also ordered to build cycle tracks and air purifiers in the market areas. Along with these orders public Delhi should also become more caring towards the nature by planting more trees and support greenery to bring down the air pollution so that everyone can breathe healthy air.

Now the delhi governmemt has taken a decision that on odd and even numbers would be allowed to run on roads on odd and even dates from first january to fifteenth january.
