The Indian Government has asked the Internet service providers to ban porn sites. Servers on which porn sites are available are located outside of India. This subject to ban porn in India was raised in a meeting held between high ranking government officials and Ravi Shankar Prasad who is a Telecom and IT Minister.
Ravi Shankar Prasad has asked all the relevant departments for their cooperation with each to enhance the blocking options at the ISP level.
The Indian Emergency Response Team has said that there are nearly 40 million porn websites available and most of them are operated from outside of India and even if these will blocked people will open them with the help of proxy servers.
I do not think that the porn should be banned in India because its a persons choice whether he wants to watch it or not and if the person wants to watch the porn then why government is taking forcing the IT companies to ban porn sites which shows porn clips and videos as i do not find any harm in watching them.
