China Builds up a dam in Brahmaputra river and India seems
to be satisfied by the explanation given by the Chinese Government. They have
built this dam in Tibet area which will be greatly impacted by the disturbances
created by the dam on ecology of the area which will lead to the disasters like
landslides and flash floods. Millions of people from Arunachal Pradesh in India
will be impacted by this dam made by the Chinese.
Nearly 1.5 dollars have been spent on one phase which will
be functional from Sunday and start the electricity production other 4 phases
will be completed after next year. Environmentalist are against this decision
of making this dam by Chinese and are saying that there is no need to build up
this dam as that region do not have heavy industrialization and needs less
electricity.
India said that they are conducting the studies and will
study the impact of the dam in the region but till the time they will complete
their studies the project will be fully functional and it will be too late for
the studies.
It should be noted that Bhramaputra river is the strongest river in the Arunachal Pradesh Area and impacts the North East and other regions of India.
