Google has decided to shut sown Orkut and today 30th Sept 2014 is the last day of first social networking site. It will no longer available from tomorrow. It was launched 10 years ago and became one of the most popular networking sites on Web.
Google has not given any info about the user base of Orkut. It’s popularity started declining after the Facebook was launched gradually and gradually ate it’s market share. Meanwhile has launched amazing products like You tube, Google Plus and Blogger. Now Google is competing with Facebook with Google +.
Archive of all orkut communities will be preserved and will be available after 30th September. Archive posts can be permanently removed on users decision whether he want or keep it or not.

1. Sign into your Google+ account.
2. Go to http://www.orkut.com/AlbumsExport.
3. Click each album you want to export or Select all.
4. Click Import selected.
