Work with how you spend your time in a day. Develop habits that can help you know what is important, what is not. With discipline, planning, and organization, eventually, you would find yourself working more effectively without wasting time.

Take regular breaks

By taking regular breaks during your workday actually increases your productivity and you would also have better health whether you are working in an office on regular payroll or as a freelancer. So when you take breaks while working for long hours you will not have blood clot problem in your legs and eye fatigue.

In this regard, some researchers have also been done which shows that even a 5-minute break is enough to renew your focus. Also try to skip coffee in the afternoon when you feel low on energy instead you go for walnuts, blueberries which are brain boosting snacks.


Fix some do not disturb time for yourself

When you work from home then the best and the worst part is that you cannot ask anyone at home not to disturb you especially when anyone popup in and out of your office because you are available at home and you cannot deny anyone that you are  not available for them for a small chat or discuss little things. You should make it clear that between certain hours nobody will disturb you until and unless it is an emergency kind of situation. You can also apply the same principle at office inform your co-workers that you do not want to be disturbed and focus on your work which will definitely increase your productivity.

Fix timings for Social media

You must be checking your Facebook and mail updates several times a day and it consumes a lot of time and not just time it also divert your focus and acts as a distraction. So try to shut off the email notifications and fix some regular time maybe once in the morning and in the evening. 

Make priority list

Try to pre-plan your day in order to save your time and get things done faster. But instead of making a long list of things to do first set-top 3 among them which you want to do on priority.
Organize your online workplace.

Make a regular habit of organizing your desktop folders as this is a huge time saver option. You can use labels in your outlook and transfer the mails for easy access and make everything uncluttered and clean so it is always easily accessible what you want to search out quickly.
