how to add percentage in your pie chart



After making a pie chart you can add numbers in it to display your data but now stuck if you want to add percentage in it. It is very easy to display the numbers in percentage. After checking out the below steps you will understand this.

Below is an example of creating a pie chart in MS Excel 2010 and the process is not different for other versions of Excel also as the rule is somewhat same.

Step1: If you want to make a pie chart of two columns than select the data in the columns and headings.


Step2: Select the Column A1 to A6 and Column B1 to B6 and go to Insert and click on Pie, an automatic pie chart will display in MS Excel Sheet.



Step3: Simply select the Pie option from the Insert tab at the top in the left hand side. Select according to your need if you want to make 2D or 3D diagram.

Step4: Now the diagram is made which displays the numbers in it and if you want to show them as percentage just simply go to Design tab in the top and go for Chart layout and click on percentage sign after this your pie chart is ready with percentages.
 




 
Now you can cop the chart and paste in word, power point presentation.
