Police Constable suspended for spilling hot oil on a 16 year old boy



On Tuesday night a police constable kicked a pan of oil on a 16 year old boy who sustained severe injuries because of this shameful incident in Nangloi area.

The police constable has been identified as Jagdish who was posted in the Nangloi area and he has been suspended while a case of causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others was registered against him. Meanwhile the teenager was admitted in Sanjay Gandhi hospital for treatment. He has suffered 35% burn injuries.
According to the police officials the police constable Jagdish had gone to the area to remove illegal encroachment and during that he kicked the pan to scare the owner of the cart. But according to the eyewitnesses the cop had come to collect the bribe which he takes on weekly basis and when the cart owner denied giving money he got angry and kicked the pan.

According to a senior police official the 16 year old boy used to sell fried items on his cart and earlier another constable, Qamruddin went to the colony and asked the cart owner to leave the place. And second time when Jagdish went to ask him not to encroach space for his cart, the owner started arguing with him and Jagdish kicked the pan containing oil and it accidentally spilled on him. He was immediately taken to the hospital.
Whereas the locals are claiming that the Jagdish asked Rs1000 from the cart owner in order to allow running his eatery in that area. The boy was repeatedly paying money to him on monthly basis but this time he refused to pay and the cop kicked the pan in a fit of rage.
