Delhi Government is auctioning the fancy numbers for cars
and the number 0001 was sold for Rs 7.70 lakh today. The minimum price fixed by
the Government was five lakh rupees and it was sold for seven lakh seventy
thousands as told by the transport official.
Through this auction the Government has been able to collect
RS49.20 lakh and 23 bidders took the special numbers from the auction. The
third highest bud was made for the number 0003 and it was sold for Rs 3.10
lakh, similarly number 0002 was sold for Rs 3.5 lakh and 0009 for Rs2.30 lakh.
Transport department official has told that they would be
conducting the auction every month and it is a great opportunity for the people
who want to flaunt their fancy numbers of cars and want to make impression on
others.
Businessman Gautam Mororaka bought the number 0001 and the
second highest bid was made by Karun Arora and the third highest bid for number
0007 was made by the Brys Hotels pvt Ltd.
