Apex court denies intervening in Sai Baba controversy and
has suggested the devotees of Sai Baba to file a civil complaint or criminal
case against the Shankracharya. One
month back the plea was filed by the Saidham trust from Mumbai Maharashtra
against Shankaraycharya to stop giving statements against the Sai Baba and
asking to stop worshipping Sai Baba and also to place the idols and photographs
of sai baba in the various temples.
It was also demanded in the plea to disallow the media for spreading negative news about Sai baba.

According to Shankaracharya Sai Baba is not a god and should
not be worshipped as he is nowhere mentioned in vedas and shastra. He also said
that he will continue his campaign even if he is put in jail and will keep on
protecting the sanctity of Hindu religion.
