Narendra Modi on Tuesday has visited Andhra Pradesh and announced RS 1000 Crore for the victims of huhud cyclone. He made an arial survey of the coastal areas of vishakhapatnam.
Modi also said that The center is fully with the people of Andhra Pradesh and both governments are working hand in hand. Earlier Naidu sought Rs 2000 for assistance and wanted Modi to declare it as national calamity.
On the other hand there is no electricity in the cyclone hit areas due to which drinking water not available as water pumps are non functional with scarcity of other commodities like milk, food.
Governement is also unable to provide water through tankers due to the damaged roads.
Modi also announced Rs 50000 for the injured people and Rs 200000 for the families of those killed in the Hudhud cyclone. He also said that cyclone has caused huge losses at a time when he planning to develop Visakhapatnam into a smart city.
