Bihar Madarsa Bans Girls co education

Madarsa in Bihar have decided not to allow girls to take admission with boys. Madarsa Ajijiya which is located in Biharsharif had banned the co- education enrollment of girls and said that their religion does not allow them to study together and have restricted the girls who were studying in the madarsa. According to the religious authorities co- education is a sin.

After this decision girls protested in front of the madasrsa. S.M. Sharif who is a secretary of the institution said that they teach religious education and co – education and girls are being taught by male teachers and it is a sin. Till the time female teachers are not recruited the enrollment for girls will be closed or they find some other education system for girls. This Madarsa had classes from 3rd to MA and their salaries are paid by the state government. Before the Ban girls out- numbered this institution in enrollment.
